Since starting our journey in March 2021, our mission has been to cultivate a new culture on campus—one that involves students in real-life Industrial Engineering problems, provoking fresh thoughts and opening minds to new opportunities. Cheers to a fantastic first year with our beloved members!
After a year of organizing a plethora of educational programs in the industrial discipline, we upshifted to a whole new level with OPTIMIESTA, our week-long 1st Anniversary Celebration.
A Look Back at the OPTIMIESTA Lineup
We packed the week (March 3rd to March 10th, 2022) with incredible events designed to challenge and inspire students across all departments:
March 3 | The Inauguration: We officially kicked off the celebrations by unveiling our anniversary banner.
March 4 | Networking Skills & Its Implementation: Ever felt the anxiety of trying to build rapport for career growth? We hosted an exclusive webinar featuring three highly successful alumni currently holding top positions in giant national corporations: Nufta Yeasmin Sara, Md. Touhidur Rahman Rad, and Najiba Sultana. They broke down the nitty-gritty of expanding your network and capitalizing on opportunities.
March 5 | Case Solving-101: Ever wondered how applicants solve business cases instantly during job exams? We brought in an online workshop to teach students from every department how to tackle cases like field experts.
March 8 | Industrial Olympiad: A first-of-its-kind event! Students from all departments participated in an offline competition to solve quizzes and short questions based on Industrial Engineering and business problems, divided into Junior (1.1-2.2) and Senior (3.1-4.2) segments.
Spotlight: Instant Case Solving Competition Winners
On March 7th, we hosted the highly anticipated Instant Case Solving Competition. Participants were handed a complex business case and challenged to solve it within a strict time limit. The talent and quick thinking on display were truly remarkable.

🎉 The Grand Celebration
We wrapped up the incredible week on March 10th with a massive closing and prize-giving ceremony. It was an absolute honor to have our Honorable VC, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fazli Ilahi, and the Head of the Department of MPE, Dr. Mohammad Sarwar Morshed, present to directly hand over the awards to our winners in front of a cheering crowd.
