Research Symposium 1.0 was organized by the IEOM Society AUST Student Chapter with the objective of encouraging a structured research culture, fostering innovation and strengthening analytical and critical thinking skills among undergraduate students.

 The symposium was primarily centered on research based knowledge sharing and provided a formal academic platform where participants presented their research works, methodologies and innovative ideas through well organized research presentation segments in a competitive and professional environment. The event witnessed the participation of 43 student teams from diverse academic disciplines of the university, reflecting a strong interdisciplinary presence and demonstrating notable research aptitude, analytical depth, originality of thought and effective presentation and communication skills. To ensure wider outreach and effective dissemination of the event’s objectives and outcomes, the symposium received media support from The New Nation and Bangladesher Khabor, which contributed to enhanced institutional visibility and public engagement. Following a systematic and transparent evaluation process conducted by a distinguished panel of judges based on predefined academic merit, research relevance and presentation criteria, Team Catalyst, led by Mr. Wasif Hammad, emerged as the Champion of the symposium, while Team Respires, led by Mr. Mohammad Adnan, secured the First Runner up position and Team Ravengers, led by Ms. Raisa Anjum Ifty, achieved the Second Runner up

 position. The event was graced by the presence of Prof. Dr. Md. Ashraful Hoque, Vice Chancellor of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, as the Chief Guest, along with Prof. Dr. N. Mustafizul Karim, Head of the Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering and Prof. Dr. Mohammad Sarwar Morshed, Director of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), as Special Guests, whose valuable insights and observations highlighted the significance of student led research initiatives in addressing real world challenges and advancing academic excellence. Overall, Research Symposium 1.0 played a constructive role in strengthening student engagement in scholarly activities, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and supporting the university’s commitment to research oriented education and sustainable academic development.
